In recent years, sales of electric vehicles have been growing rapidly, with both new players and traditional automakers striving to get a piece of the pie. Traditional luxury brands are no exception, and Mercedes-Benz is among them. According to Mercedes-Benz’s official product advancement plan, by 2025, sales of purely electric and plug-in hybrid models will account for 50% of total sales.

EQE:

The all-new EQE inherits the pioneering luxury traits of the EQ family. In addition to its arched body, the front face’s “Dark Night Star Array” closed grille is juxtaposed with intelligent digital headlights with a lighting effect of 2.6 million pixels, while the 3D through-type spiral taillights continue the stunning lighting effect. The 20-inch AMG aerodynamic wheels not only enhance range but also highlight its dynamic temperament.

In terms of interior design, the all-new EQE features a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central control screen derived from the S-Class sedan, with refined image quality comparable to a tablet computer. The elegant walnut trim panel complements the large screen. The all-new EQE is the first to be equipped with an active ambient lighting system, which dynamically changes colors with vehicle speed, enhancing the driving atmosphere with vibrant hues.

EQE SUV

Embodying the front face style of Mercedes-Benz EQ, it is a downsized version of the EQS SUV.

The EQE SUV was already unveiled at this year’s Paris Motor Show, and its overall design is clearly a SUV version of the already released EQE, inheriting both design and technology. The front design simply raises the front end of the EQE sedan, giving it a larger enclosed front face and more exaggerated front bumper air intakes. Additionally, the EQE SUV adds LED light strips above the headlights, connecting them to the inner light units, which Mercedes-Benz calls the “Space-time Loop,” further aligning the EQE SUV with its larger sibling, the EQS SUV.

Moreover, the EQE SUV is equipped with a rear-wheel steering system, with a maximum steering angle of 10 degrees and a turning diameter of only 10.5 meters. In intelligent “off-road” driving mode, the all-wheel-drive models, combined with air suspension, can raise the body by 30mm.

The EQE SUV also adopts the iconic triple-screen design of the EQ family, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch central control panel, and a 12.3-inch passenger display, all placed on the same plane. The Hyperscreen utilizes curved OLED technology, replacing all physical buttons with three touch screens. With the latest MBUX Hyperscreen infotainment system, it not only enhances the sense of luxury and technology but also provides greater convenience.

Summarize:

In the past two years, in order to adapt to the changing electric vehicle market, Mercedes-Benz’s various electric vehicles have also continued to reduce prices. The FOB price of a brand new Mercedes-Benz EQA in China is only US$25,000. This was something that was simply unimaginable before. Therefore, for those who like Mercedes-Benz very much, now is undoubtedly an excellent time to buy.
