The front face of NIO’s new ES6 still uses the X-Bar shape, with streamlined lines and decorative parts on the body, in line with the ES7 and new ES8, and the style of the entire front face becomes purer. At the same time, the wind resistance coefficient of the new NIO ES6 has been reduced to 0.25, which is almost on the same level as a crossover SUV. It is an excellent level in the same class. The low wind resistance will be very helpful for the energy consumption and wind noise of the vehicle. Side design , the upper body of the new Weilai ES6 is responsible for giving space, while the lower body is responsible for showing posture. The upper part of the car body is a suspended roof with flat side windows, hiding the door frames, window frames, turn signals, etc.; the lower part retains the waistline, tightens in the middle and extends symmetrically front and rear, combined with the streamlined head and tail lines, making the car look more like a car. The vehicle has a more muscular feel. The tail is designed to rise, the distance between the waistline and the fastback roof is narrowed, and the bottom of the rear bumper is raised, further enhancing the sense of sportiness. The slender taillight design also adds a sense of technology to the new ES6.

Intelligent multi-beam headlights integrate numerous micron-level high-brightness LEDs, each individually controlled to ensure precise lighting in multiple scenes; it can realize ADB matrix high-beam control to improve night driving safety. The three-dimensional combination of slim illumiBlade light-front taillights, high-mounted brake lights and highly sculptural lines at the rear is eye-catching, stylish and distinct.

Vehicle safety: High-strength steel-aluminum hybrid body

Designed in accordance with Chinese and European five-star safety standards. It adopts an ultra-high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid body. The all-aluminum rear floor and C and D pillars are all made of integrated die-casting technology, reducing more than 65 parts and reducing weight by 30%. The body is lighter, stronger and the interior space is larger.

Intelligent driving

From perception algorithms to map positioning, from control strategies to underlying systems, NIO has conducted comprehensive self-research and established full-stack intelligent driving technology. It will gradually achieve full coverage of highways, urban areas, parking and power-on scenarios, bringing a safe and relaxing point-to-point intelligent driving experience.

Performance and configuration

NIO ES6 adopts a new generation of high-efficiency electric drive platform, applying silicon carbide power modules, a front 150kW induction motor and a rear 210kW permanent magnet motor, further optimizing the vehicle’s energy consumption. It only takes 4.5 seconds to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour, and the CLTC cruising range has reached 935 kilometers.

The third-generation dynamic suspension damping control CDC can better reduce vibrations from the road, keep the vehicle body stable and improve passenger comfort.
ISS intelligent comfort braking system
The lSS function allows the braking system to automatically and intelligently adjust the braking force, optimize the “nodding” phenomenon caused by braking, and help reduce occupant motion sickness.
